The Only Thing Chelsea Should Do After The Defeat Against City

We have played Manchester city in what was the game of the weekend, and the most anticipated fixture of the month. Well, in case you didn’t see the game, the long and short of it was that we lost, but not without our pride intact.

In the absence of injured Sergio Aguero, a lot of us expected a more timid City attack, but Pep Guardiola had other thoughts. It was a full strength city side, set up to attack from the blast of the first whistle. They pressed in the early minutes of the first half, but we contained their threats well. We probably should have scored too if we weren’t so weak in attack. We had decent chances, but for some reason, we couldn’t find the back of the net.

The second half was pretty much familiar to the first, although City grew even stronger and the lone goal scored by our former player, Kevin De Bruyne seemed forthcoming. We made late efforts to get on level terms, but like I said, it was just one of those nights.

We did lose the game, and it really does hurt to know that City already got one over us, and we’re now trailing them and United by 6 points, but it’s not exactly as bad as it seems. It’s just Week 7 of the new season, there’ll be plenty time to cover ground. We just need to focus on the coming games, and play to WINevery single one of them. It only takes two losses for our opposition for the ground to be made up and we can draw hope from last season’s performance. So it’s definitely not over for Chelsea in the title race. I feel we still have a strong chance of getting ahead of United and City. This fixture is gone, we have to look ahead now, and continue building to be better.
