Great for Chelsea: £80M-valued La Liga star is supposedly on his way to Stamford Bridge

One can certainly hope!

According to Don Balon, cited by the Daily Express, Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio has told Isco that he is on his way to Stamford Bridge.

Reportedly, the Spaniard has grown disillusioned at Real Madrid, and his frustrations worsened when he was left out of Zidane’s squad that beat Deportivo 4-0.

While it’s important to consider that Don Balon isn’t the most reputable source, Asensio meets the requirements that Chelsea set with regards to player recruitment. He is valued at at least £80M by Real Madrid.

There has been a palpable onus on attracting young players in an attempt to reduce the squad’s average age. In addition to being 22-years-old, Asensio is exceedingly talented, and his arrival could alleviate the pressure that Hazard shoulders to create opportunities for the team.

In 74 appearances for Los Blancos, the former Mallorca playmaker has scored a respectable total of 20 goals. He would be an excellent addition to most Premier League teams.
